Sushil Modi went on to label Nitish Kumar a "burden" and claimed that the Bihar chief minister's capacity to transfer votes has ceased.

"He has become a burden; I doubt RJD can bear it for long." His capacity to transfer votes is no longer available. He previously worked for RJD, returned to NDA, and then rejoined RJD. "I am disappointed that Nitishji has left us again," the Union Minister stated to reporters in Patna.

With the help of the 'Mahagathbandhan' (Grand Alliance), Kumar resigned the BJP in August 2022 and deposed the party from office.
